Russ Beebe melds his two extracurricular passions—hiking and wine-tasting—into an enjoyable professional gig that he calls "California Wine Hikes." Yet his passions had already become meaningful on a volunteer basis. “For most of this decade, I’ve been leading regular hikes for family, friends, and coworkers,” says Russ, “and I've attended and hosted a variety of wine tastings for even longer. Along the way, I discovered that I had built a network of friends who share my love of the outdoors and fine wines. "I realized that people really enjoy the experience of a good, well-organized group hike, followed by a winery tour or picnic in the area local to the trail.” Russ founded California Wine Hikes to share his passion for hiking, wine tasting, and travel with other active people. He leads dozens of tours each year and is always on the lookout for new trails, wineries, and venues that will ensure a relaxing and memorable group experience. Russ is also certified in CPR and First Aid.
